Producing Aggregates and Sand Through 200TPH River Pebbles Crushing Plant

Due to the geological and climatic conditions, many Southeast Asian countries, such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Cambodia, have abundant river pebble resources. Many customers from these countries often inquire about river pebbles crushing production lines. A few days ago, a customer from the Philippines contacted us online to inquire about a crushing plant for processing river pebbles. What specific requirements does he have for the river pebbles to be crushed?

River Pebble Crushing Requirement

During the initial consultation, the customer was not sure of the required production capacity for crushing the river gravel. Upon knowing that the customer is located in Cagayan City, Philippines, the AIMIX engineer immediately flew there and conducted a site survey. Based on the customer’s description and the survey, we estimated that a 200TPH crushing plant would be the most suitable. Here are the specific requirements of other customers:

  • Maximum feed size: not exceeding 500mm
  • Aggregate and sand requirements: The produced aggregates should have a particle size range of 0-25mm, with the 10mm fraction being produced for sand sales. Other particle size ranges of aggregates include 5-10mm, 10-20mm, and 20-25mm, primarily for sale to local infrastructure contractors or concrete and asphalt producers.

Based on the scope of the crushing site survey, we have customized the layout of the stone crushing plant as shown below:

From the layout, we can see the basic configuration of the entire crushing line, which includes:

Detailed Configuration of River Pebble Crushing Line

According to the customer’s requirements, we have chosen a two-stage crushing process. It includes a jaw crusher for primary crushing and a cone crusher for secondary crushing. In addition, the customer also wanted to produce a portion of the aggregates as sand, so we added a sand washing machine for the production line.

  • The jaw crusher (APJ-7510E) is the primary crusher as the customer’s raw materials have a larger particle size (up to 450mm) and require a processing capacity of 200tph. The jaw crusher can meet the maximum particle size requirement.
  • The cone crusher (APC-200C) is used for secondary crushing. After primary crushing, the 0-130mm aggregates will be transported to the cone crusher. The APC-200C’s medium crushing chamber is suitable for handling materials up to 160mm, making it ideal for crushing 130mm aggregates. Additionally, the aggregates produced by the compound cone crusher have a good particle shape, making them convenient for the customer to sell.
  • To meet the customer’s requirement of producing sand from the 10mm aggregates for sale, we have added a spiral sand washer (APS-762L).
